When I started my blog back in April of this year it was very much on a whim. I’d been thinking about starting a blog for years but had never really had the courage to do so.
While I felt this drive to share my experiences and thoughts with the world I had a lot of self doubt. I was scared about what the world would think of me, and I was even more scared of failure. And to be honest, I’m still nervous and I often struggle with feeling like an impostor.
I’ve loved writing and sharing with others all my life, but it is certainly different to share all of it on the internet, and to have the world judge the quality or value of your content.
Late last night, I looked at my Instagram page and finally after slowly creeping above 80, and then slowly up through the 90’s, the number turned to 100.
My first 100 followers! For some people, getting to 100 followers might not be a big deal, but for me it was one of my more concrete goals for my blog and I told myself if I could get to 100 followers I would keep going. It’s taken hard work and perseverance to get here, and of course all of you, but I did it!
I’m so grateful to everyone who has followed my journey so far and connected with me in this amazing online community. It is a privilege to get to share my everyday thoughts, photography, recipes, and really my life with you. I also want to say thank you to the over 50 people who follow me through WordPress, and the more than 50 who follow me through Facebook!
I am so excited to keep going with this blogging dream and to keep growing this community. I have so many ideas and plans for the future and I just can’t wait to share them with you all!
Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
